Requirements

- An iPhone only if you want the companion experience.
Looper 1.2.0 is a universal app signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
Install
- Download the Looper 1.2.0 DMG. A ZIP archive is also available. Exact filenames, sizes, and SHA-256 digests are listed in release metadata.
- Open the DMG and drag Looper to Applications.
- Open Looper from Applications. Complete the macOS prompts shown for the app and its supported integrations.
- Confirm that Looper's menu bar shows the local server as ready. Use the app's connection controls to check your agent, then open an existing session.
- Follow iPhone setup if you have access to a compatible companion build.
macOS security checks remain enabled. If the app is blocked, stop and use troubleshooting; do not remove quarantine attributes or disable Gatekeeper.
What is installed
The native app bundles the Rust control plane and terminal tools. Its first launch manages supported integrations through Looper's own product flow. It keeps session state on your Mac and can serve a paired phone over LAN or Tailscale.
Closing a terminal does not stop the server. The menu bar app controls its bundled server lifecycle, including its Detach Server on Quit setting.
Updates
Quit Looper before replacing its app bundle with a verified release. Keep your existing application data and pairing state. Download URLs are pinned to a version; review that release's notes and checksums before upgrading.
